IF YOU'RE EVER NOT SURE WHAT TO DO JUST TOSS IT TO ME

PERSONALITY A glass-hearted gentle giant who has found himself titled the Ace of the Karasuno Boys' Volleyball Team -- a title he's not sure he can live up to. Despite his insecurities and depressive tendencies, Asahi has a stronger will than he realizes and aims to become worthy of being the Ace. His best friends are fellow third years Daichi and Suga, and he is also often seen with second year Nishinoya. Out of his group of friends he is definitely the least confident and most sentimental. This often puts him in the position of being their literal punching bag, and often the butt of a joke. But Asahi and his friends share the same goal of taking Karasuno to Nationals and winning it all, and they all put their heart and soul into the team. On the court, Asahi is a beast who plays without pulling punches, putting all of his incredible mass and muscle into every spike he hits. It can be hard to believe that someone with so much power and talent can be so mousy and meek. Asahi is loyal to his friends and always willing to help or comfort those who need it. If you're a stranger it will take some time for him to warm up to you, but if you can win his friendship, your life will be all the better for it!

ABOUT Asahi is a 17 year old Japanese high school senior. His birthday is January 1st. He is the Ace of his school's volleyball team, the cornerstone of their offensive play, with a spike hard enough to blast through multiple blockers. Off the court, he is an average student with no collegiate aspirations who is often mistaken for a thug or delinquent at first sight, much to his endless distress. APPEARANCE Asahi is 186.4 cm (6' 1.4") tall, with tan skin and brown hair and eyes. He wears his long hair pulled back into a loose bun, often held in place with a headband. He keeps a short scruff of facial hair on his chin, which only adds to the effect of making him look older than he actually is. Thanks to his athleticism, Asahi is physically very broad and muscular, moreso than any of his teammates. Between the long hair, the goatee, the height, and the muscles, Asahi is often mistaken for a delinquent, a gang member, a drug dealer -- the list of rumors is endless, and all untrue. ABILITIES Asahi has no supernatural abilities, but he is far more athletic than the average high school student. His spike is powerful enough to blow past defenders, and in an effort to make himself a more valuable player, he has learned to spike from the back row, to perform a perfect jump serve, and has worked on his receiving skills for the Spring Tournament.
